My name is Angela Barth and I am the special education teacher/RtI coordinator. This is my tenth year at Limestone Walters and l love this school! I have a B.A. in English/Education from Marquette University and an M.A. in Reading/Special Education from Cardinal Stritch University, both in Milwaukee. I taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for 4 years before moving to the Peoria area and teaching in the Bartonville area. I have four children and my husband is a butcher.
My role at L-W is unique. I work with so many students, and I enjoy every minute of it! In addition to special education services, I do some Tier II/III interventions for the general education classes. The students work on research based computer and pen and paper interventions 2-3 times a week in my classroom. I also progress monitoring almost all of the RtI students, which means I get to spend time with new faces. My goal for this year is to make getting help something to look forward to, instead of something to be embarrassed about. I also have a study hall for junior high students who may need additional help. I always want to be someone students can ask for additional help when they feel overwhelmed or confused with their work. Just like no child learns the same, no teacher teaches the same!
